Operations Officer
Duties:
-
Ensure quality assurance and the production team meets scheduled goals. This entails a range of oversight of work including liaising with lead glazier and scheduler, directing and executing production activities for maximum performance of projects.

Coordinate site measures, correctly identify glass
-
Review project specifications, plans, drawings and schedules to accurately select suitable products
-
Prepare and compile detailed and accurate estimates and identify glass type
-
Ensure AS1288 code is adhered to, and all glass is compliant
-
Develop and maintain and strengthen strong relationships with clientele
-
Manage installers and glazers, working closely with both internal and sub-contractors to ensure works are complete on time, per specification and building code without exceeding budget
-
Communicate, interact, engage with team members including engineers, drafters and project managers
-
Coordinate with production, service and sub-contractors ensuring a high level of service to our customers
-
knowledge of Microsoft software.
Skills:

Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and met.

Coordinate with suppliers, installers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and installation.

Organise all relevant permits

Maintain a regular site presence and conduct inspections to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
-
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
-
Lead project meetings, provide status updates, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project duration.
-
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, understanding & application of NCC, relevant AS1288 Australian standards, and performance requirements, SWMS/JSA’S
-
Perform post-project analysis and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Lead Glazier
Duties:
-
Take charge of projects, provide expert guidance to team members, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to manage complex tasks, prioritize safety, and exceed expectations.

Be hands on in leading the installation,
-
repair, and maintenance of glass and aluminium products across commercial sites.
-
Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and schedules to deliver precise results.
-
Perform advanced glass works, including cutting, caulking, and fabricating solutions.
-
Oversee job costing, ensure tasks are completed on time, and maintain quality standards.
-
Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and excellent service delivery.
-
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering skill development and teamwork.
-
Adhere to and enforce strict OH&S protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
-
Manage procurement of materials and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
-
Ensure OH&S standards are always maintained on-site
-
Be capable of problem solving and making decisions to achieve a suitable outcome

About You

Completion of the relevant trade certificate course or equivalent proven experience.

Training 3 -4 years glazing experience preferred post qualification.

Manual driver’s licence prefered.

Customer focused and good communication skills.
-
A strong eye for detail and great time management skills.
Glazier
Duties:
-
Install and replace glass for Commercial and Residential customers.
-
Maintenance to glazed opening doors, including breakdown and rebuilding of adjustment to stiles and heal and toe-ing to improve the operation and longevity of doors
-
Replacement and adjustment of existing door and window hardware
-
Application of safety films for building windows
-
Glass auditing, identification and reporting
-
Mirrors
-
Partition glazing
-
Polycarbonate and acrylic sheet glazing; and
-
Working at heights by scaffold, EWP or other suitable method
-
Assessing risks
-
identify the appropriate glass to be installed
-
Building the framework for the glass
-
Removing old or broken glass and silicone from frames
-
Measuring and fitting new glass
-
Sealing glass and making everything watertight
-
Using a robot with suction cups to lift glass into place
Skills
